Wow, I cannot believe how long it’s been since I last wrote a beauty based post! I’ve missed writing these posts as I love to share my makeup and skincare routines with you guys! Today’s beauty post revolves around the brand “Starskin Beauty”. I came across this brand last year when shopping in Fenwick, and stumbled upon an array of face masks, and if you know me, I ADORE face masks. I think that it’s so important to take just half an hour out of your day to focus on you and relax.
Last year, my first purchase from Starskin Beauty was their “Diamond Mask”, priced at £12.50. If I had known that I was going to love this brand as much as I do now, I would have definitely published a review, but I can confirm that the diamond mask was one of the BEST masks I’ve ever tried.
As my obsession with the brand grew, I found myself purchasing some more masks a few weeks ago, and instead of rushing into pampering myself and forgetting to publish a post, I managed to control myself in order to share my pamper experience with you.
Let’s talk about the “After Party” mask, priced at £8.50. The mask itself is a brightening mask, which claims to energise the skin, correct dark-sports, evens the skin tone, smooths the texture of the skin and boosts the radiance, so as you can tell, perfect for after a wild night out with the girls, or, in my case, perfect for the end of a long day, when you’re main aim is to make yourself feel great. I always do my face masks on an evening, as this is the time where I have removed all makeup and my skin is clear, I prefer this way as I know that I won’t be applying any other products to my skin for at least another ten hours. Starskin Beauty advise you to use the mask once to twice a week, although, I personally choose not to, and only use the masks when I feel like it, due to the price being a little more expensive than your average beauty store ones. After using the mask, my skin felt SO SOFT! I mean, I have NEVER felt anything so soft, ever! I was also GLOWING, fully GLOWING and felt like a new person! Although, for a few minutes after removing the mask, my skin did appear to be a little bit red, however, the packaging states that the skin may appear red due to the active ingredients within the mask.
Mask no2…the “Silkmud Green Tea Clay” mask, priced at £9.00. The mask is predominately an anti-ageing mask, which claims to deeply purify, smooth and lift the skin, tightens pores, brightens the skin and helps to condition. Unlike the previous mask, this mask gradually tightened around my face, but as stated on the packaging, this is the aim of the mask! Although it was a very weird sensation at first! After removing the mask, my skin felt so much smoother, and more brighter.
Each mask has its own aims, and although both are different, I love both equally! Starskin Beauty is becoming a brand that I can confidently trust to not negatively effect my skin, instead, it makes me feel even greater! Let me know your favourite face mask brands below!
